    Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy

Everything you need to know is already inside you.

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a client-centered approach combining yoga postures with dialogue to facilitate deeper self awareness and access to one's own inner wisdom.

Benefits may include

*     Deep relaxation

*     Enhanced mental clarity, self-empowerment, and self-esteem

*     Physical relief from chronic aches and pains

*     Emotional and physical release

*     Deeper and stronger connection with one’s inner self

*     Self-growth and healing

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is not advice, physical therapy, or a yoga class.  No yoga background is needed to benefit from the work.

During the 75-minute session, Louise supports you in customized yoga postures and uses basic dialogue to facilitate your self-awareness.  The brief centering invites you to draw your focus inwards.  During the postures, Louise uses non-directive dialogue to safety support your personal exploration and self-discovery as you listen to your body’s wisdom with compassion and acceptance.  The session closes with an integration to apply your self-realized awareness into daily life.

By calling 646-709-4135, you can receive a free 15 minute introduction to the work.

Sessions are held in your home, office, or yoga studios in Smithtown, East Setauket, and Holbrook.

You will remain fully clothed without shoes during the session.  Please wear comfortable and stretchy clothing (e.g. sweatpants and T-shirt).

Please refrain from eating large meals 2 hours before the session.

You may wish to bring water and a light snack to enjoy after the session.

Louise’s clients include those who have never tried yoga to seasoned yogis, children through senior citizens, and a wide spectrum of physical conditions from very limited mobility to extreme flexibility.  Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy often enhances the benefits of yoga practice, bodywork, still and moving meditation, and psychotherapy.

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy was developed in 1986 by Michael Lee, a former resident and faculty member of Kripalu Yoga Center in Massachusetts and is the author of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy – Bridge from Body to Soul.  Over 950 practitioners are certified worldwide, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand, England, Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, Iceland, Australia, Norway, and Japan.  Each year in Bristol, Vermont, an average of 60 new practitioners are certified.  For more information, you can also visit the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy website at www.PRYT.com.  Articles on the work can be found at www.pryt.com/book/articles.html.

The phoenix flies into the flame, through the fire where it transforms, and then rises from its ashes into something stronger, more empowered.  By being courageous with being present in the fire, one can rise and live from a new place of vitality, inner strength, and joy.  – Wade Morisette, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist
